sooo, i gone to steam to check out what they have for the next fest and i found alien hominid invasion on steam for a demo and as usual i downloaded it, and was sorta disappointed, especially since i played the fuck out of the xbox 360 version.
Pros
- it has leaderboards and online which is nice
- support for modern controllers
- has a tutorial for confused players
- made in a modern engine
- support steam deck (i think)
- nice looking cutscenes
Cons
- the controls are stiff compared to the snappy controls xbox 360 version
- the game looks like a cheap cartoony indie game rather than pure alien hominid
- the game is tedious with the paper collection mechanic
- focuses on collecting and shooting rather than challenge, and i love challenging levels (even if i suck at it most of the time)
